    A Doll's House Tickets

    Playhouse Theatre

Academy Award nominee Jessica Chastain makes her West End debut in A Doll’s House at the Playhouse Theatre. Catch the Hollywood star in a bold re-imagining of Ibsen’s breath-taking drama, directed by Jamie Lloyd.

    A European classic, thrillingly reimagined

Academy Award-nominated actress Jessica Chastain is set to make her West End debut, starring in Ibsen’s drama A Doll’s House at the Playhouse Theatre. Chastain is teaming up with celebrated director Jamie Lloyd for an exciting new take on the Norwegian classic.

A Doll’s House is a haunting domestic drama by Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen. It follows Nora, a bride who is harbouring a secret and hiding behind convention. Although seemingly happy in her marriage to newly-appointed bank manager Torvald, the stifling reality of her lifestyle – and the weight of a long-held confession – threatens to topple the foundations of their comfortable existence.

Screen star Jessica Chastain stars as Nora in her first UK theatre production. She is best-known for her work in film, including the Academy Award-winning Zero Dark Thirty.

A Doll's House is directed by Jamie Lloyd (Cyrano de Bergerac, Betrayal) as part of his residency at the Playhouse Theatre.

Tackling class, gender and self-sacrifice, and boasting an exciting star casting, A Doll’s House tickets should be top of the list for fans of bold, inventive takes on the theatrical canon.
