For the first time since 2014, dance fusion masters Ballet Revolución land in the West End. Hailing from Cuba and famed worldwide, audiences can expect to be thrilled by the group’s innovative mix of global styles.
Combining Afro-Cuban dance with ballet, street and contemporary, Ballet Revolución has long been acclaimed for its energetic and international outlook, whilst never losing touch with a unique Cuban spirit.
Their stage show offers the sensuality of salsa alongside the urgency of modern experimental choreography, all set to a thumping soundtrack of pop hits - from Calvin Harris to Adele by way of Enrique Iglesias.
The troupe boasts a high calibre of talent from Havana’s Escuela Nacional de Arte and Escuela Nacional de Ballet, led by choreographers Roclan González Chávez and Aaron Cash. Music is provided by a live band under the direction of Osmar Salazar Hernandez.
Having toured extensively across Europe, Australia and Asia, Cuba’s talents now make a triumphant return to the UK. Catch Ballet Revolución at the Peacock Theatre from 5 May 2020.
