This thoroughly modern take on the story takes place in Belleville, a land where everyone is gorgeous and obsessed with looks. Everyone except Cinderella, who doesn't hide her distain for the superficial society she lives in. When a Fairy Godmother appears to offer her a chance to fit in and find love, Cinderella's life is turned upside down, with lessons learned and hilarious mishaps along the way.

The musical was developed by British theatre icon, Andrew Lloyd Webber (Evita; Jesus Christ Superstar), with Killing Eve showrunner Emerald Fennell on board to write the book. Popular West End star Carrie Hope Fletcher steps into the lead character’s glass slippers as a thoroughly modern Cinderella. Her performance won the award for Best Performer in a Female Identifying Role in a Musical at the 2022 WhatsOnStage Awards.
