Dirty Dancing Tickets
Packed full of raunchy dance moves, spectacular songs and a classic storyline, Dirty Dancing – The Classic Story on Stage returns to London’s Piccadilly Theatre after an extensive UK tour. Following the story of Baby and Johnny Castle, who are brought together by their passion for dance, Dirty Dancing is the ultimate musical, which cannot be missed.
Set in the 1960s at an all-American holiday camp called Kellerman’s, Dirty Dancing follows the innocent teenager Baby Houseman as she learns some major life lessons, as well as a thing or two about dancing. On a holiday with her older sister and conservative parents, she discovers a risqué all-night dance-a-thon at the staff quarters. Mesmerised by the raunchy moves and pounding rhythms, Baby spots the resort dance instructor, Johnny Castle. Soon, she becomes Johnny’s leading lady, both on and off stage, and the summer quickly transforms into the most valuable, victorious summer of their lives.
American actress Jill Winternitz (Once) continues in the leading role of Baby, opposite Paul-Michael Jones as Johnny Castle, who has toured with the production since 2011. Charlotte Gooch (Top Hat) returns as diva dancer Penny Johnson, having previously understudied the role at the Aldwych Theatre. Dirty Dancing is directed by James Powell (Les Miserables US tour), with a book by Eleanor Bergstein, choreography by Kate Champion, set design by Stephen Brimson Lewis, lighting design by Tim Mitchell and sound design by Bobby Aitken.
Dirty Dancing – The Classic Story on Stage includes several hit songs such as “Hungry Eyes”, “Hey! Baby”, “Do You Love Me?” and the heart-wrenching classic “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life”. Many much-loved artists feature in this stage sensation, which effortlessly blends the film soundtrack into live performance. A musical brimming with show-stopping music and daring dances, Dirty Dancing promises to be an all-time success, dancing into the Piccadilly Theatre for a limited season.
