    Following a sell-out, Olivier Award-nominated run in 2015, Dr Seuss’s The Lorax returns to the Old Vic Theatre for a limited festive season in 2017. Adapted for the stage by David Greig (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), this vibrant, zany and pertinent story follows the magical Lorax on a mission to save Paradise Valley’s beloved trees from the greedy Once-ler!     Dr Seuss’s The Lorax returns to London’s Old Vic Theatre for a strictly limited Christmas season, following a smash-hit, Olivier Award-nominated run in 2015. Adapted for the stage by David Greig, who also penned the book for colourful extravaganza Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Dr Seuss’s The Lorax opens at the London venue in October 2017.

    Packed full of theatrical invention, brilliant puppetry and Dr Seuss’s own zany humour, The Lorax is the story of the mustachioed critter with a big heart, who is determined to save Paradise Valley’s beloved truffala trees. Greedy businessman the Once-ler wants to cut them all down – but what he doesn’t realise is that there is an irrepressible, magical Lorax to contend with!

    Directed by Max Webster (James and the Giant Peach), The Lorax is a stage adaptation of the well-known Dr Seuss novel by prolific playwright David Greig, with choreography by Olivier Award-winning Drew McOnie (In the Heights). The production features design by Rob Howell, with sound design by Tom Gibbons, lighting design by Jon Clark and original songs by Charlie Fink.

    Bursting with infectious music, enchanting choreography and a message that appeals to audience members of all ages, Dr Seuss’s The Lorax is the charming production that returns to the Old Vic for a limited run beginning October 15th and playing until November 5th 2017.

    Dr Seuss’s The Lorax is recommended for those aged 6 and up. It is important to note that those under the age of 3 will not be admitted into the theatre.
