Gangsta Granny Tickets
David Walliam's fun-filled and action-packed Gangsta Granny returns to the London stage this summer.
Ben goes to his Granny’s house every Friday evening when his parents go out to watch a ballroom dancing show. These nights with Granny are so boring – the TV doesn’t work so he’s forced to play Scrabble, and the only food Granny makes relies on cabbage. Cabbage soup and cabbage cake do not make for a fun Friday night. But when Ben roots through the kitchen for biscuits, he discovers that Granny has an exciting secret past, and needs Ben’s help on her next project.
The show is adapted and directed from Walliams’ book by Neal Foster. The Birmingham-based director, actor and writer is the actor-manager of Birmingham Stage Company. He adapted GRangsta Granny in 2015, the same year he created three different Horrible Histories productions. He is fully committed to bring high-quality children’s theatre to British stages.
Previous tours have garnered much press acclaim, as has its previous West End run. The children’s play was also nominated for an Olivier Award in 2018, so its appeal to young people goes without a doubt. Running from 14 – 26 August in Theatreland’s Harold Pinter Theatre, families on summer holidays will be sure to snap up tickets to this popular show.
Sorry this show closed 26 August 2018, we recommend these similar productions.
