Prepare to be terrified; Ghost Stories is back. Jeremy Dyson and Andy Nyman's truly unsettling show follows Dr Goodman, doctor of parapsychology, as he lays down his research on three ghostly encounters.

Dr Goodman is a doctor of parapsychology, ready to presents us with his straightforward research on three cases where people have claimed to have had an encounter with a ghost or other supernatural being. The calm and collected academic should be able to rationalise his investigations, but their reenactments make for a deliciously terrifying experience in the critically-acclaimed Ghost Stories.

Jeremy Dyson and Andy Nyman collaborated on the script for both the stage play and the screen adaptation of this scary saga. Dyson is one of the members of sketch comedy group The League of Gentlemen, and writes books and for television and film. Nyman is an actor, writer and director, well-known for his work with illusionist Derren Brown, as well as extensive work in TV, film and theatre. Dyson and Nyman co-direct Ghost Stories, with additional directing support provided by Sean Holmes, the Artistic Director of the Lyric Hammersmith.

Simon Lipkin stars as the inquisitive Professor Goodman. Preston Nyman plays Simon Rifkind, Richard Sutton plays Mike Priddle and Garry Cooper plays Tony Matthews.

First opening at the Liverpool Playhouse in 2010, Ghost Stories later transferred to the Lyric Hammersmith before a run at the West End's Arts Theatre. Audiences simply can’t get enough of this frightening lecture, which has been revived in London and had a run in Australia, before being adapted into a film. The deceptively simple format and short running time lure in the crowds before scaring them out of their wits.

The popular production is also a success with the critics, securing numerous stars from print and online media. Ghost Stories returns to London to play a limited season at the Lyric Hammersmith, running at the London venue from 29 March to 11 May 2019, with a press performance on 5 April 2019, giving fans old and new a great opportunity to see this cult horror show.
