RailThe closest National Rail station is Liverpool Street, which is up to 25 minutes away on public transport. From Liverpool Street, catch the Overground to London Fields Station and walk 8 minutes via Hackney Grove and Reading Street to the theatre.
Stratford International is also a short Overground ride away, and once you have alighted at Hackney Central it is a 5 minute walk to the venue.
TubeThe closest London Underground station is Bethnal Green on the Central Line. It is a 30 minute walk from here to the theatre, but you can catch the 106 or 254 bus to Hackney Town Hall.
Hackney Empire is best served by the Overground lines, and you can switch from an Underground line onto the Overground from several locations including Highbury & Islington (Victoria line) Euston (Northern line), Stratford (Central line) and West Hampstead (Jubilee line).
Hackney Central Overground is just 5 minutes away from the theatre. Exit onto Graham Road, turn right onto Mare Street, and the venue will be just a short walk up the road on your right.
BusIf catching the bus to Hackney Empire, Mare Street is well served by several routes. The 30, 55, 106, 236 (24hr), 254, 276, 277 (24hr), 394, N55, N253, N277 & W15 all stop at Hackney Town Hall. From the Town Hall, Hackney Empire is just one minute’s walk away.
