    Jakop Ahlbom brings his acclaimed dance production Horror to the Peacock Theatre for a limited season. A dark, humorous and visually stunning production, Horror is the tale of a haunted house with some terrible secrets. Bringing the genre of horror to the stage, the show sees mime, acrobatics and mesmerising routines all included.

    Swedish choreographer Jakop Ahlbom brings his award-winning dance piece to the Peacock Theatre for a strictly limited season. Presented by the Jakop Ahlbom Company, Horror is the surreal homage to cinematic horror classics, reimagined through mesmerising dance.

    When a woman returns with two friends to her family home, she discovers the house is haunted be a tragic family incident. Nobody knows what has happened to her older sister, but a vengeful spirit makes itself known. Through a series of flashbacks, cruelty and crushed youth is revealed, as the woman is brutally forced to look at her past. Quickly, she discovers that the only possible way to survive is to confront the truth.

    Horror is the creation from acclaimed choreographer Jakop Ahlbom, who has been fascinated with horror films since youth. Determined to bring the special effects, fantasies and terrifying emotions to the stage, the piece asks how you should deal with a traumatic past.

    Performers from the company include Luc Van Esch, Yannick Greweldinger, Silke Hundertmark, Judith Hazeleger, Sofieke De Kater, Gwen Langenberg, Maurits Van Den Berg and Reinier Schimmel.

    Creative team includes Wilma Kuite and Judith Wendel, as well as Ahlbom himself. A visually stunning and effective piece of dance, Horror is the humorous, vivid and dark production that combines mime, dance acrobatics and enchanting stage illusion.
