    How was your 1999? For comedian James Acaster, it was the best and worst year of his life. So of course, he made a show about it. This ‘whimsical master’ who was nominated for Best Comedy Show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for 5 years running comes to the Vaudeville Theatre for a strictly limited week-long season.

    Young comedian James Acaster has been smashing the British and international comedy scenes since 2008, going from performing small live shows on the touring circuit, to opening for larger acts, to regularly appearing on popular panel shows and winning awards around the world. His latest show, Cold Lasagne Hate Myself 1999, arrives at the West End’s Vaudeville Theatre for a limited week-long run.

    Born and raised in Kettering, Acaster initially went into music before becoming a comedian. He first appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2009 with Josh Widdicombe and Nick Helm, before touring with Josie Long the following year as her support act. In 2011, he went on to support Milton Jones on tour, before developing further solo Edinburgh shows and appearing on TV comedy series’ such as QI, Would I Lie to You and Mock the Week. He has also filmed a four-part series for Netflix.

    Acaster has kept a hand in the music scene as part of a band, releasing album Luna Dott Raids the Bee Pigeon. Further credits include a YouTube comedy series titled Sweet Home Ketteringa, as well as Sunday Times bestseller Classic Scrapes.

    Having received praise from all of the major UK media outlets, Cold Lasagne Hate Myself 1999 is sure to have fans old and new rolling in the aisles. The show plays a limited week-long season at London’s Vaudeville Theatre before embarking on a national tour, running from 29 October to 3 November 2018.
