Location

Leicester Square Theatre is situated in the heart of the West End, at the popular tourist trap Leicester Square. The theatre is adjacent to Chinatown, and is a short walk from the Covent Garden shopping district and the lights of Piccadilly Circus. Nearby nightlife, food and drink options are some of the best in Central London. It’s easy to reach due to its central location, but always check www.tfl.gov.uk in advance for any transport delays.

Rail

Charing Cross Station is the nearest rail station to the Leicester Square Theatre, approximately a 15 minute walk away. From the station entrance, cross The Strand and turn left onto Duncannon Street, then turn right onto Charing Cross Road. Follow Charing Cross Road past the National Gallery and the Garrick Theatre.

When you reach Leicester Square tube station, turn left into Leicester Square. Keep on the right side of Cranbourn Street, take the second right into Leicester Place and the theatre will be on your right, next to the Prince Charles Cinema.

Tube

Leicester Square tube station is a stone’s throw away from the theatre, served by the Piccadilly and Northern lines. Upon exiting the station, cross Charing Cross Road and walk down Cranbourn Street until you reach Leicester Square. Stay to the right, and take the second right into Leicester Place. The theatre is ahead of you on the right, next to the Prince Charles Cinema.

Piccadilly Circus is a 5 minute walk away, served by the Piccadilly and Bakerloo lines.

Bus

There are several bus routes that stop on Charing Cross Road at Leicester Square, including: 24, 29 and 176. Bus routes that stop down Shaftesbury Avenue and in the Piccadilly Circus area are: 14, 18, 38, 6, 12, 23, 88, 94, 139, 159 and 453. These serve various stops on Regent Street and Piccadilly.

Car

The Leicester Square Theatre does not participate in the Q-Park Theatreland scheme. The nearest car park is Q-Park Chinatown, with costs starting at £22 for up to 3 hours, and £29.50 for 4 hours.

Leicester Place is not accessible to vehicles, but patrons may be dropped off on Lisle Street, about 40 metres from the theatre entrance. The London Congestion Charge Zone covers the whole of the West End, costing £11.50 between 7am and 6pm for vehicles that enter the area.
