All Hail Macbeth Tickets - On Sale Soon

David Tennant and Cush Jumbo bring their landmark Macbeth to the West End this year, following a five-star premiere at the Donmar Warehouse. This bold version of Shakespeare’s psychological drama places audiences inside the Macbeths’ troubled minds for 110 breathless minutes, using groundbreaking binaural technology played through headphones.

It was one of 2023’s most sought-after tickets, and now you can hear every thumping heartbeat, every whispered promise, and every cry of revenge during its strictly limited season at the Harold Pinter Theatre.

    What is Macbeth about?

When Macbeth’s ascension to the throne is prophesied by three witches, he and his wife are set on a path of brutal ambition. With a trail of regicide, murder, manipulation and madness left in their wake, they cling on until the bitter end. But can they outrun nature by controlling destiny… and is the prophecy all that it seems?

Olivier Award-winning director Max Webster (Life of Pi) delivers “an act of risk-taking theatre” (Daily Telegraph) full of “wolfish imagination and alarming surprise” (The Guardian) in this extraordinary show, which sees cutting-edge sound design and live Celtic folk music played directly through headphones worn by every member of the audience.

    David Tennant in Macbeth

Daring theatre craft meets phenomenal acting with David Tennant delivering a career-best performance as damaged and power-hungry Macbeth. Tennant is one of the UK’s most versatile and compelling actors, with a huge range of credits including Doctor Who, Broadchurch and Good Omens. On stage, he was nominated for an Olivier Award for Good and Lobby Hero, with his “simply hypnotic” (The Times) performance in Macbeth earning him a third nod at the 2024 ceremony.

Tennant is joined by Olivier Award-nominated actor Cush Jumbo as Lady Macbeth, and the duo reprise their “throat-clenchingly intense” (The Stage) take on Shakespeare’s plotting couple for the West End. Jumbo is best-known for roles in The Good Wife and The Good Fight, and has several acclaimed stage credits including Josephine and I - which she also wrote - and Hamlet at the Young Vic.
