About Mates in Chelsea
Theodore “Tug” Bungay is in quite a large spot of bother. His mother, Lady Agrippina, intends to cut off the funds he has been living vicariously with; his long-suffering fiancée is determined to get him down the aisle as soon as possible; and an oligarch wants to buy his beloved castle in Northumberland. Is “professional viscount” Tug’s life of frivolity, carelessness and decadence about to change? Or can he keep doing whatever he wants to do, and to hell with the rest of them?
Inspired by The Picture of Dorian Gray author Oscar Wilde and P.G. Wodehouse - the creators of popular upper-class buffoon Jeeves - this riotous modern-day comedy of manners is set amidst the elite of south west London. One question is key: how on earth have they remained our ruling class?!
