    Sadler's Wells

Award-winning choreographer Kenneth Tindall brought the decadent tale of history’s most scandalous lover to Sadler’s Wells for a limited five shows. Performed by the Northern Ballet, Casanova is unmasked in a sensational production that brought his debauchery, romance and intrigue to the forefront of the stage.

Following several sell-out successes, award-winning dance company Northern Ballet returned to Sadler’s Wells with the scandalous story of history’s most notorious lover. Casanova was the first full-length ballet by award-winning choreographer Kenneth Tindall, having opened at the London venue for a limited season in May.

Consumed by his decadent desires, Casanova is the raunchy tale of the debauched Italian romancer, who treads the line of temptation. Dabbling in a variety of sham careers, with a penchant for drinking, gambling and women, his exploits eventually lead him into a downward spiral of scandal, imprisonment and exile. Unmask the deliciously real Casanova with the Northern Ballet!

Featuring a new score from Kerry Muzzey, played live by the Northern Ballet Sinfonia, Casanova was designed by Olivier Award-winner Christopher Oram and commissioned by David Nixon OBE. Kenneth Tindall choreographed, with previous successes including Luminous Juncture and The Architect. Casanova played at Sadler’s Wells for a limited five performances that ran from May 9th 2017.
