Once On This Island Tickets

London’s outdoor theatre transports us to the Caribbean in this Little Mermaid-inspired fairytale musical.

A sun-soaked Caribbean fable

The heat of a tropical sun beats down on Regent’s Park for fairytale musical Once On This Island. The Little Mermaid inspired story of love, grief, faith and hope forms part of the venue’s exciting summer season this year.

On a Caribbean island, a group of storytellers gathers to impart the tale of peasant girl Ti Moune. When a ferocious storm casts a shipwreck onto her shores, Ti Moune rescues a boy called Daniel and begins to fall in love. But the Gods demand something in return for Daniel’s life, and this young orphan girl soon embarks on a quest to prove that love is more powerful than death.

Ola Ince directs Once On This Island at Regent’s Park Theatre, with a cast led by Gabrielle Brooks (Get Up, Stand Up!) as Ti Moune and Stephenson Ardern-Sodje (The Lion King; Hamilton) as Daniel.

The musical is infused with Calypso beats and emotional ballads by Stephen Flaherty and Lynne Ahrens, with a story based on Rosa Guy’s novel My Love, My Love, which in turn is inspired by The Little Mermaid.

Enjoy a poignant tale of two worlds coming together with Once On This Island tickets.
