What is the Pretty Woman musical about?

The story of unlikely couple Edward Lewis, a high-powered businessman, and Vivian Ward, the escort he hires to date him is as famous as the Hollywood neighbourhoods it is set in. As the pair attend work and social events, a spark ignites and romance develops. Soon, both sides of this worlds-apart couple are grappling with what they thought they knew about their lives.

The passionate and fiery love story, immortalised on screen by Julia Roberts and Richard Gere, is now the ultimate West End show for date night, girls’ night, or just a fun night at the theatre! It features songs from the film you know and love, iconic moments realised on stage, and buckets of romance to make you swoon.

    The Pretty Woman London Cast

Richard Gere and Julia Roberts are iconic in the film, but the cast of Pretty Woman the musical are worth falling head over heels for. West End star Aimie Atkinson (Six the Musical) has played Vivian Ward since the show opened in London back in 2020, opposite Oliver Tompsett (& Juliet; Kinky Boots) as Edward Lewis.

The musical’s creative team is full of people who worked on the film, including its director Garry Marshall and screenwriter J. F. Lawton, who adapt it for the stage; and Bryan Adams, who famously wrote music for the film.

Is Pretty Woman the Musical closing?

The musical closes in London on 18 June 2023, after a hugely popular three years in the West End. In that time, the triumphant crowd-pleaser has transported thousands of theatregoers to the hazy streets, luxurious hotels and gorgeous scenery of Beverly Hills, and is sure to take its final curtain call with red-hot flair.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How much are Pretty Woman the Musical tickets?

Tickets range in price from around £25 to over £200 depending on the date you book and availability.

What are the most expensive tickets for the Pretty Woman musical?

Seats in rows D-G of the Stalls and the front of the Dress Circle are the most expensive for this show because they promise unbeaten views of the stage. At peak times they cost over £200.

Central seats like Stalls H16 are the perfect distance from the stage, so you can see the fantastic dance routines in full whilst still feeling totally immersed in the romance and drama of the show.

How can I get cheap tickets for Pretty Woman the Musical?

Book a week or two in advance if you want the best availability across all price bands, especially the cheaper seats. As the show is closing soon, planning ahead is especially important if you want to see it for less before it leaves the West End.

Check restricted view seats, because some of these are very good value for money. One example is Dress Circle H4. This seat is marked restricted view because of a railing, but SeatPlan audience photos show that it is not directly in front and “does barely anything to obstruct the view”. It is also about 15% cheaper than unrestricted view seats nearby.

Offers and discounts are available fairly often, and you may be able to find some last-minute bargains in the show’s final few weeks. Sign up for an Alert and we will let you know when these are available.
