Location

Queen Elizabeth Hall is located in the world-class Southbank Centre, which hosts a variety of cultural events including theatre, music and art exhibitions. Forming part of the South Bank cultural district next to the River Thames, the venue is within walking distance of the National Theatre, British Film Institute and London Eye. 

The South Bank is a well-connected and popular destination for both tourists and locals, with plenty of restaurants, pubs and international street food vendors in and around the area. 

Rail

The nearest train station is Waterloo, less than 10 minutes walk from the Southbank Centre and Queen Elizabeth Hall. Other stations within easy walking distance are Waterloo East, Charing Cross, and Blackfriars. These stations are all less than 20 minutes on foot or between 10 and 15 minutes on the bus. 

Tube

The venue is around 5 minutes’ walk from Waterloo station, which is served by the Northern, Bakerloo, Jubilee, and Waterloo & City lines. 

Embankment, which is served by the District and Circle lines, is across the river and just 7 minutes away on foot. To get to Queen Elizabeth Hall from here, turn onto Victoria Embankment and cross the Golden Jubilee Bridges. 

Bus

Waterloo Bridge is a busy hub for buses, with routes 1, 4, 26, 59, 68, 139, 168, 171, 172, 176, 188, 243, 521, N1, N68, N171 and N343 stopping just 2 minutes’ walk from Queen Elizabeth Hall. 

Other buses including the 76, 77, 211, 341, 381, 507, N381 and N76 stop on York Road, which is a five-minute walk from the venue.

Car

The Southbank Centre and surrounding area has very limited parking options. There is a drop-off area on the slip road just outside Southbank Centre Square, with four free spaces for Blue Badge holders. 

Secure parking available nearby includes APCOA South Bank, with 500 spaces costing from £7 for two hours.
