    Room On The Broom tickets

A fun-filled adventure flies into London

Magic and mayhem is conjured up at the Lyric Theatre this summer, as Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s Room on the Broom provides high-spirited entertainment for families.

“Iggety ziggety zaggety zoom!” The witch and her cat are flying back home on their broom, but they soon pick up a few hitchhikers. As an excitable dog, a beautiful bird and a frantic frog all climb onboard, the poor broom snaps in two… just as a big, hungry dragon appears!

Based on the best-selling picture book, Room on the Broom live is the creation of acclaimed, Olivier Award-winning children’s theatre company Tall Stories. Tall Stories have sparked the imagination of young audiences with their hugely enjoyable adaptations of popular pre-school books including The Gruffalo and The Snail and the Whale.

Packed full of puppets, surprises and engaging storytelling, Room on the Broom tickets are the perfect summer holiday treat for children and their grown-ups.

Absolutely brilliant and very well executed. It's my little ones favorite Julia Donaldson story book and we weren't disappointed. We particularly liked the cats performance. We loved it and recommend to everyone.

Good show. I would recommend children age 6+ due to some of the humour. Younger children may not understand. Good audience participation. Was expecting it to be a little longer.

It doesn’t stay very in line with the film or book. Examples…line about “a very tall hat” which they didn’t make tall and pointy just crumpled down, dog with a war time Londoners accent. Frog with southern farmers accent. The which with a totally different over eccentric personality. I had my son all the way through saying “this isn’t like room on the broom”. Now saying all this, my son said her really enjoyed it. All the actors did have good for their energy. I just wish they would try and stick closely to the movie and book as that’s really why everyone is there. The kids aren’t really interested in their artistic take on it, if it felt like seeing the movie in real life I think it would be all the more magical.

My six-year-old really enjoyed the show (as did I) and was wholly engrossed for the entire duration.
