Tall Stories return to the West End, bringing their adaptation of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s much-loved children’s book Room on the Broom to the stage. After tremendous national and international success, the Olivier Award-nominated production runs at London’s Lyric Theatre for limited festive performances.
Join the Witch and her cat, as they journey through the skies on their magical broomstick! On a mission to defeat a dragon, the pair pick up a host of unlikely hitch-hikers on their adventure, including a friendly dog, lovely green bird and crazy frog! But the broomstick soon snaps under the five of them – just as a very hungry dragon appears! Yikes!
From the creators of The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo’s Child, the production promises plenty of fun and laughter, with interactive moments, sing-a-long songs and colourful puppetry that will entertain theatregoers of all ages. Tall Stories have entertained the West End for years with their vivid, engaging productions.
Room on the Broom Live features a cast including Amy Harris as the Witch, Emma Crowley-Bennett as the Dog/Frog, David Garrud as Bird/Dragon and Connor Bloom as an understudy.
The production is directed by Olivia Jacobs, with design by Morgan Large, lighting design by James Whiteside and puppets by Yvonne Stone, as well as music and lyrics by Jon Fiber, Andy Shaw and Robin Price.
A hugely entertaining journey, that is jam-packed full of laughter and scary fun, Room on the Broom Live plays a strictly limited festive season at the Lyric Theatre. Performances run at the London venue from 23 November 2018 to 13 January 2019.
