Created by top choreographers Vaibhavi and Shruti Merchant, Taj Express fuses contemporary and traditional dance, transporting audiences into the vibrant world of Indian cinema, with explosive routines and spectacular costumes. Featuring musicians live on stage, the musical is formed of songs from Academy Award winner A.R. Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire), as well as Bollywood composers Salim and Sulaiman Merchant and Monty Sharma.
Casting includes Shankar, Arjun, Kareena Kaboom and Saraswati. Taj Express features choreography by Shruti Merchant and Rajitdev Easwardas, a book by Tarun Travancore, lighting direction by Miguel Angel Fernandez, sound direction by Alessio Comuzzi and costume design by Bipin Tanna and Maria Tharakan.
Touring internationally since 2013, Taj Express is the first original Indian musical to complete five years of successful tours. Be immersed in the bold colours and show-stopping dances in Taj Express, which has dazzled audiences all over the world. Taj Express plays at the Peacock Theatre from 2 October to 20 October 2018.
