    Peacock Theatre

    Worldwide tango sensation Tango Fire returned to the Peacock Theatre for a series of breathtaking performances displaying Argentine tango at its very best, with having began performances on 31 January 2017 and continued until 18th February 2017.

    The Peacock Theatre welcomed back superstars of international tango Tango Fire, featuring the acclaimed German Cornjeo and a troupe of astonishing dancers and the most electric live band. This is Argentine tango at it’s very best.

    Tango Fire takes you on an electric trip through the evolution and history of the beautiful, passionate dancing of late night Buenos Aires. Show casing a range of tango, both its rawness and sophistication as well as unbridled passion, Tango Fire is not to be missed by any dance fans.

    Tango Fire features some of the most fast-paces footwork and extraordinary twirling, the show features a cast of some truly breathtaking tango dancers, including past World Tango Champions.

    Leading the cast is worldwide tango superstar German Cornejo and his incredibly passionate partner Gisela Galessai. Cornejo is one of the best known faces in the tango world, having performed sold out shows all across the globe, as well as having an online video audience that spills into several millions. He brings some of the most exciting and engrossing choreography, which exhibits the best of Argentine Tango while also helping to redefine it.

    The Tango Fire company originate from Buenos Aires and were first conceived in 2005 with a premiere in Singapore, before journeying to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, resulting in universal acclaim.

    Tango Fire is accompanied by the unforgettable music and much loved songs of the Tango greats such as Pugliese, Gardel and Piazzolla. Played live, the Tango Fire company features for of Argentina’s finest young musicians who give their own interpretation of traditional and contemporary tangos. Clemente Carrascal on bandoneon, Gemma Scalia on Violin, Matias Feigin on Piano and Facundo Benavidez on Contrabass.

    With some of the world’s most sizzling performers and a fantastic live band, Tango Fire was one of the most exciting live tango experience at London’s West End. Performances began at the Peacock Theatre on 31st January 2017 and ran until 18th February 2017.
