The Bodyguard Tickets

Queen of Soul Beverley Knight has returned as superstar Rachel Marron in The Bodyguard at the Dominion Theatre. Full of Whitney Houston classics, this musical is a tale of love in unexpected places.

International superstar Beverley Knight took the lead once again for the return of The Bodyguard, which danced into the Dominion Theatre for an extensive run. Thea Sharrock’s smash-hit Whitney Houston-inspired musical had previously premiered at the Adelphi Theatre, receiving the 2013 WhatsOnStage Award for Best New Musical.

Based on the 1992 Oscar nominated film starring Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner, The Bodyguard is an exquisite story of unexpected romance. Superstar Rachel Marron hires ex-Secret Service agent Frank Farmer to protect her from an intimidating unknown stalker. Both expect to be in charge of the other, yet neither expect to fall in love in what leads to a wonderfully romantic climax. Houston’s greatest hits make up the score, including ‘Queen of the Night’, ‘One Moment in Time’, ‘Saving All My Love’, ‘I Have Nothing’, ‘I Wanna Dance with Somebody’ and the breath-taking showstopper ‘I Will Always Love You’.

Originally having opened in 2012, The Bodyguard saw Beverley Knight make her West End debut. She has since gone on to become a hugely successful musical theatre actress, starring in Memphis with Killian Donnelly and the revival of Cats at the London Palladium. Knight has received three MOBO Awards and an MBE for her services to music and charity, and is known as the Queen of Soul. Voice: The Best of Beverley Knight earned her a platinum certified album, alongside four gold albums. Knight alternated the role of Rachel Marron with Carole Stennett, who has featured in The Lion King and played Nicki Marron at the Adelphi.

Further casting included Rachel John as Nicki Marron, Mark Holden as Bill Devaney, Alex Andreas as Tony, Dominic Taylor as Sy Spector, Matthew Stathers as Stalker and Glen Fox as Ray Court. The Bodyguard is a West End favourite with a star-filled cast that completely dazzled the Dominion.
