The Book of Mormon Tickets

Prince of Wales Theatre

From the creators of South Park this outrageous, multi-award winning musical tells the hilarious story of two naïve Mormon missionaries.

The Book of Mormon Tickets Promise Outrageous Laughs!

South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone join forces with Avenue Q’s Robert Lopez for controversial hit The Book of Mormon, which promises to outrage and entertain in equal measure at the Prince of Wales Theatre. This story of Mormon missionaries who travel to Uganda is an Olivier Award-winning audience favourite in the West End!

What is The Book of Mormon about?

The Book of Mormon plot centres on two Mormon missionaries, Elder Price and Elder Cunningham, who are sent to war-torn Uganda for their two-year mission to bring new people into their church. They find the poverty-stricken local populace to be very angry with God, with a hilariously vulgar song to express it! With a warlord causing atrocities and a temporary home far from the sunny Florida that they hoped for, the pair will need to draw on all their faith and truly “man up” to face the challenges presented to them.

The now familiar The Book of Mormon musical score includes stand-out songs “Hello”, “I Believe" and “Baptize Me”, performed by a talented ensemble cast who ensure the laughs keep flowing.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the creators of South Park and outrageous comedy films such as BASEketball and Cannibal! The Musical paired up with Robert Lopez, co-creator of Avenue Q and one of the songwriters on Frozen to write the book, songs and lyrics for the show.

Parker and Stone grew up in Colorado, where they encountered the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and its members often and have made references to the faith in many of their other works. The story of The Book of Mormon is told in Parker and Stone’s trademark, in-your-face style with no shortage of vulgarity and crass humour, but also shows a warmth for the Church and is much more a satirical satire than a damning parody.

Who is in The Book of Mormon London cast?

The West End cast includes Dom Simpson as Elder Price, Conner Peirson as Elder Cunningham, Leanne Robinson as Nabulungi, Steven Webb as Elder McKinley, Richard Lloyd King as Mafala Hatimbi and Edward Baruwa as the General. The cast also features a large ensemble who play missionaries, Ugandan locals and other roles throughout the show.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much are tickets to The Book of Mormon?

Ticket prices typically range from approximately £24 - £240 depending on date and availability.

What are the most expensive The Book of Mormon tickets?

The most expensive tickets can be up to £240 and are located in a small section at the centre of the Stalls, Rows F-H. From these seats you are guaranteed the best view in the house, with enough distance from the stage to see the entire set and ensemble, but close enough to see all the detail and expression in the performances. Seat G25 has been described as “a brilliant seat, central and the perfect distance from the stage”. These seats are also surprisingly spacious for West End standards, with one theatregoer in H24 stating “As a 6ft 1" athletic male, I found the legroom plentiful.”

How can I get cheap tickets to The Book of Mormon?

The best way to get cheap tickets is to book during offer periods such as London Theatre Week or Winter sales. Outside of offers, you can still get a bargain on tickets by choosing off-peak performances such as Friday matinees or Monday nights, where even top-priced tickets can be up to £50 cheaper than on popular nights such as Friday and Saturday.

The Prince of Wales theatre has some hidden-gem seats that offer more value than you might expect. Stalls K46 for example is listed as a Restricted View and priced accordingly, but theatregoers report that the view is still very good throughout the majority of the show. Similarly, Circle K25 may be located almost at the back of the venue, but the steep design of the auditorium means the view is still excellent and terrific value for the price.
