The Ocean at the End of the Lane Tickets On Sale Now

Step back into the strange and wonderful world of childhood in Neil Gaiman’s The Ocean at the End of the Lane as it returns to the West End for a strictly limited season. The exhilarating theatrical experience, with over 60 five-star reviews, is at the Noël Coward Theatre for seven weeks this autumn.

About The Ocean at the End of the Lane Play

A man returns to his childhood home and stands at the edge of a pond that his friend Lettie insisted was an ocean. Anything was possible back then, and at the edge of his memory is a story of ancient forces that threatened to destroy everything they held dear…

Boy lives with his Dad and sister, and things just haven’t been the same since his Mum died. But one day, when he meets Lettie and discovers things he never believed could exist, a new woman enters his house. Who is Ursula, and what does she want from them?

The Ocean at the End of the Lane: From Book to Stage

Neil Gaiman’s (Stardust; Coraline) fantastic imagination is realised on stage with remarkable physical theatre, by an award-winning creative team including director Katy Rudd, set designer Fly Davis, costume and puppet designer Samuel Wyer and movement director Steven Hoggett.

The National Theatre’s Olivier Award-winning adaptation has bewitched thousands of theatregoers since 2019, and its previous West End season was extended twice due to huge demand. Most incredible of all are the shape-shifting creatures, created via puppetry, that linger and roar across the stage. If you don’t think plays are for you, your mind will be changed by this staggering feat of theatrical imagination.

The Ocean at the End of the Lane Cast

The fantastic touring cast brings The Ocean at the End of the Lane back to London, including Charlie Brooks as Ursula. Brooks is best known as EastEnders villainess Janine Butcher and is just as compelling on stage in a performance that creates “a sense of malevolence” that “she does with chilling glee” (I Love Manchester).

The cast also includes Keir Ogilvy as Boy, Millie Hikasa as Lettie, Trevor Fox as Dad, Kemi-Bo Jacobs as Ginnie and Finty Williams as Old Mrs Hempstock.

Don’t Miss Tickets for The Ocean at the End of the Lane

Nostalgia and fantasy combine on stage to create a “beautiful” (Time Out) story that will suck you in and take your breath away. The Ocean at the End of the Lane is one of the best plays to see this year.
