The Wind in the Willows Tickets
Alan Titchmarsh stars as author Kenneth Grahame in this seasonal revival of the Royal Opera House’s celebrated production of classic children’s tale, The Wind in the Willows.
Starring TV personality Alan Titchmarsh as The Wind in the Willows author, Kenneth Grahame, this production has been labelled both bold and lovable.
Set in the dusty attic-like room of Grahame’s mind, the tale of the famous riverbank starts pouring out of the old author’s memory as he reminisces about his most famous tale. Despite its new arrangement, the show is the well-known story of Mole, Ratty, Mr Toad and Badger and their adventures along the Thames. The story follows the four characters through their various escapades, which culminate in the group working together to recapture Toad Hall, the home of speed-loving Mr Toad that has been hijacked by woodland animals.
This family friendly show features a gorgeous score with beautiful dancing and memorable storytelling. Those with big hearts and even bigger imaginations will fall in love with this timeless tale of friendship. Alongside Tuckett, the creative team includes The Quay Brothers who designed the fairy-tale like set, and Martin Ward, who wrote the enchanting score.
