    As part of Moscow’s Sovremennik Theatre season at the Piccadilly Theatre in London, Erich Maria Remarque’s acclaimed story Three Comrades comes to the West End for a limited run.

    Moscow’s Sovremennik comes to the West End for a very special season at London’s Piccadilly Theatre, which includes an adaptation of Erich Maria Remarque incredible novel Three Comrades set for a limited run between 3rd May 2017 and 6th May 2017.

    First published as a novel in 1937, Three Comrades was written by Erich Maria Remarque, the German novelist best known for the 20th century classic All Quiet on the Western Front.

    The touching story depicts the strength of human spirit through characters who need to find the inner strength to survive in a world that they did not build, but must endure all the same.

    Taking place in late 1920s Germany during the height of the poverty of the depression, three friends attempt to scrape together a living as mechanics, with their comradeship being the only shelter they can take from the disastrous changes that are taking place all around them.

    Rober Lohkamp is a man whose perspective of life has been twisted by his horrifying experiences on the front line in World War I, who soon starts to find his destructive outlook begin to stage when he meets an enigmatic and attractive young lady.

    Three Comrades comes to the Piccadilly Theatre as part of the internationally acclaimed Sovremennik Theatre’s triple bill of its most renowned productions, along side two for the Seesaw and Three Sisters.

    Directed by the Artistic Director and founding member of the Sovremennik Theatre Galina Volchek, this play will be performed in Russian with English subtitles.

    With performances set to begin on 3rd May 2017 and run for a strictly limited period to the 6th May 2017, this opportunity to see one of the most acclaimed theatre companies in the world is not to be missed.
