Getting into the Venue

The Todd Haimes Theatre is accessible step-free from the entrance at 227 West 42nd Street. Wheelchair users and patrons with limited mobility are easily able to get from the lobby to designated accessible seating in the Orchestra and Mezzanine.

Six wheelchair spaces and six transfer seats are available in the Orchestra at every performance. There are also five wheelchair spaces and two transfer seats located at the rear of the Mezzanine.

All levels of the Todd Haimes Theatre are accessible via elevator.

Customer Assistance

Wheelchair accessible restrooms are located in the lobby of the Todd Haimes Theatre and in the Penthouse Lobby on level five.

The Penthouse Lobby on level five is easily accessed using the venue’s elevators, and patrons can relax with a drink here before the show.

Please be advised that staff may be unable to assist patrons into or around the venue. It is therefore advisable to bring a companion to the performance.

How to Book

For those who require special assistance or wish to book access tickets such as wheelchair spaces, it is important to book in advance and notify the theater of any special requirements.

Section Accessibility

Orchestra

The entrance to the Orchestra is behind row P, with around two steps down to seats in the back rows, O to P. Handrails are in place here for assistance, and rows AA to L are step-free.

Six designated wheelchair spaces are all located across row P in the Center Orchestra, with a further six aisle transfer seats in rows B, G and K. These seats are adjacent to the inside aisles at either side of the Center Orchestra.

Mezzanine

The Mezzanine is one floor above the Orchestra, with an elevator available to take patrons to their seats. Entrance is next to row G and the accessible seating, with a further one or two steps down to each row. Where there are steps, handrails are available for extra help.

There are five wheelchair spaces on the left-hand side of row F, with six companion seats available in adjacent spots. A further two transfer seats with folding armrests are located in row F.
