Getting into the Venue
The Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre is situated on Yonge Street and is step-free from street level to the main lobby, via large, wooden double doors.Once inside the Elgin Theatre, there are ramps and elevators to ensure step-free access to the auditorium’s Orchestra, where wheelchair and assisted seating is available.
All other areas of the theatre, including the Mezzanine and Balcony, must be reached by stairs. All steps are highlighted, with handrails in place.
Customer Assistance
Staff are available for patrons who require assistance. Those who wish to transfer into assisted seating or wheelchair seats are advised to bring a companion, however staff are also trained to assist patrons. A limited number of transfer seats are available and are of a standard width, with removable arms.A range of lounges and lobbies are available to hire, including the Elgin Lounge, Palladian Lounge, Davies Takacs Lobby, Terrace Lounge and Lounges 4, 5 and 6. Capacities vary across the options.
The Elgin Theatre is able to store items in coat check on the lower level, for a cost of $2.50.

Section Accessibility
Orchestra
The Orchestra can be accessed step-free from street level and from the main lobby, via a selection of ramps and elevators. Once inside the auditorium, there are no steps to reach wheelchair and assisted seating in Row C.
Row C accommodates 6 wheelchair or assisted seating spaces, with room for companions in adjoining seats.
Mezzanine
The Mezzanine must be accessed via steps up from the main lobby. Once inside the auditorium, there are 3 steps between each row. All steps are highlighted, with handrails in place.
This section is not recommended for those with limited mobility and is inaccessible for wheelchair patrons.
Balcony
The Balcony must be accessed via steps up from the main lobby. Once inside the auditorium, there are 3 steep steps to reach each row. All steps are highlighted, with handrails in place.
