Contemporary circus comes to Toronto, as The 7 Fingers return with their latest show, Réversible. Playing a limited season at the CAA Theatre, the energetic piece of theatre showcases a thrilling mix of dance, music, acrobatics and circus, in a production that dedicates itself to the generation that forged the world we know today.
Imagine what your grandparents lived through at your age. Unveiling stories of past skeletons, the show charts the lives of our elders, who lived in a simpler era at a much slower pace. Inspiring poetry, virtuosity, imagination and passion, the show questions if these stories are part of our DNA, and if they will guide us in the future.
Casting includes Maria Del Mar Reyes, Vincent Jutras, Jérémi Levesque, Natasha Patterson, Hugo Ragetly, Zoé Sabattié, Julien Silliau and Emi Vauthey.
Réversible is directed by Gypsy Snider, with movement design by Phillip Chbeeb and Hokuto Konishi (AXYZM), set by Ana Cappelluto, lighting by Yan Lee Chan and costume by Geneviève Bouchard, with original music by Colin Gagné, in collaboration with Raphaël Cruz, Ines Talbi, and Dominiq Hamel.
Prepare for the best of contemporary circus, with this electrifying show that tells the stories of our joint past. Featuring a roster of multi-talented performers, Réversible is full of moments of grace, thrills and adrenalin, as it prepares to ask if those stories we know could hold they key for a better future.
Filled with beauty, emotion and hope, the production runs at the CAA Theatre from 11 December 2018 to 6 January 2019.
