Getting into the Venue
The Royal Alexandra Theatre is situated on King Street West, with step-free access to the Main Lobby, Box Office and Orchestra, through large, glass double-doors. If arriving from the parking garage located beneath the Princess of Wales Theatre, elevators are available on levels P1 and P4, which can take patrons to street level. The theatre is then a short 2 minute walk away.Due to the age of the building, there are no elevator facilities, and the Balcony, Upper Balcony and some lower level facilities must be reached by stairs.
Customer Assistance
Staff are available for patrons who require assistance. Those who wish to transfer into assisted seating or wheelchair seats in the Orchestra are advised to bring a companion, however staff are also trained to assist.The Yale Simpson Lounge is a large space on the lower level of the theatre, 20 steps down from the main level. Fitting up to 100 people pre-show and 300 post-show, the Lounge is equipped with a coat check, bar and restrooms. The Louis XVI Lounge is a private room on the main level that can accommodate up to 20 people, complete with bar service.
The Queen Anne Lounge is adjacent to the Louis XVI Lounge and can accommodate up to 15 people. The CAA Lounge is located on the Balcony level, 30 steps up from the main level. A semi-private room, the Lounge can accommodate 40 people, or 100 people post-show.
The Royal Alexandra Theatre is able to store items in coat check at the Yale Simpson Lounge, for a cost of $2.50.

Section Accessibility
Orchestra
The Orchestra is step-free from street level and from the Main Lobby. There is a gradual ramp to reach each row and no steps to wheelchair seats in the Boxes. Assisted seating is also available here.
Extra legroom can be found in Row B, seats 7-10 and 27-30, and in aisle seats and movable Box seats.
Balcony
The Balcony can be accessed via 30 steps up from the main entrance. Please note there are no elevator facilities. All steps are highlighted, with handrails in place. Once inside the Balcony, there are 14 steps down from Row G to Row A.
Additional legroom can be found in the movable Box seats, or in aisle seats.
Upper Balcony
The Upper Balcony can be accessed by 69 steps up from the main level via the front staircase, or 67 steps up via the rear staircase. Steps are highlighted, with handrails in place. Once inside the Upper Balcony, there is a steep rake and 26 steps down from Row H to Row A. Handrails are in place inside the auditorium.
Legroom is limited in this section, so the best option for extra room are aisle seats.
