Location

The Royal Alexandra Theatre is located on King Street West. Situated in the heart of the Toronto Entertainment District, the venue is next to its sister site, the Princess of Wales Theatre, as well as entertainment venues including Roy Thomson Hall and The Second City, Toronto. Nearby are a number of restaurants and bars, as well as the David Pecaut Square. There are a variety of travel options that make the theatre easily accessible.

Rail

The Royal Alexandra Theatre is an easy 9 minute walk from Union Station, which is suitable for those arriving by VIA or GO Trail rail.

From Union Station, turn west onto Front Street and continue over to either University Avenue or Simcoe Street. Continue north onto King Street West and then cross the road to reach the theatre, which will be on the right.

Subway

Alternatively, you can get the subway to the St. Andrew Subway Station, which is one stop away from Union Station.

From here, you arrive on King Street West and can walk 3 minutes to the theatre, which is located on the right.

Car

The Royal Alexandra Theatre is accessible by car, just north of the Gardiner Expressway. Due to the City of Toronto’s King Street Pilot Project, traffic is reduced, and no left turns are permitted in the King Street area.

Parking is available beneath the nearby Princes of Wales Theatre, which is a mere 2 minute walk away, with an entrance ramp located just off John Street. There are four levels available below the Princess of Wales, with an elevator that takes you to street level. Additional parking can be found at the Hyatt-Regency Toronto on King Street.
