Getting into the Venue

The main entrance to Shakespeare's Globe Theatre is step-free, with automatic doors into the box office and lobby area. Lifts provide access throughout the building, and there is a lift for public use next to the Information Desk in the foyer. This lift serves levels B, G, P, 1 and 2.

The theatre has one wheelchair space in the Yard and three - with one companion seat each - in Gentleman's Box P, which can be accessed via a lift. These offer very good, uninterrupted views of the stage. Access tickets can be purchased online or by telephone.

Customer Assistance

Theatre staff are available throughout the building to assist visitors at Shakespeare’s Globe. If you require assistance before the performance, it is recommended that you arrive in plenty of time to ensure a smooth entry.

Drinks can be taken into the auditorium from the Swan Bar, which has step-free access. There are two accessible toilets on the Piazza level of the building, close to the Globe Theatre shop.
