About SeatPlan

At SeatPlan, we're passionate about delivering the best possible theatre experiences to our customers. That's why we've built an innovative platform that combines user-generated reviews with a powerful multi-supplier, asynchronous availability booking engine. This technology allows users to understand what their experience will be like before they purchase tickets.

We've established ourselves in a very competitive marketplace, with thousands of people visiting SeatPlan every day to find the best possible seats for their budget. Our UGC-focussed approach to ticketing is going to transform the industry, and we need people who can help us execute this vision, which will benefit theatregoers across the UK.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced Head Of Development who can architect and lead implementation of a challenging interactive seat plan based website, enabling users to make easy and informed ticket purchases on SeatPlan.com

You'll be responsible for delivering scalable, testable products in an agile development environment, building on the foundations of our Symfony2 system. This is a huge challenge that requires a strong understanding of architecture, available technology merits and pitfalls, problem solving and hands on development.

You'll be working with the CEO to meet ambitious targets, which will require you to build an effective and versatile development team. A successful track record of e-commerce website delivery and managing people through sprints and retrospectives is essential.

As well as being directly involved in the development of our product, you'll also be expected to bring ideas on how you would like SeatPlan to grow in the future, ensuring we stay relevant in the ever-changing landscape of online ticketing. We're looking for someone who can express their ideas with conviction and enthusiasm, guiding our developers and stake-holders to make the best possible decisions.

This significant challenge comes with significant potential reward via our Employee Management Incentive share scheme.
