Are you a London-based theatre fanatic with a strong understanding of what makes a great show? If so, SeatPlan might have a dream job opportunity for you.

We’re looking for someone to become a professional London theatre show and seat critic, where the chosen candidate will be paid to attend and review top shows in London’s West End on SeatPlan’s behalf. In addition to reviewing shows, the candidate will also be required to rate and photograph their seating options, to allow us to continually update our website with the best places to sit in London’s theatres.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:
• Be a UK resident aged 18 or over and based in London
• Have the availability to regularly attend shows around the city
• Have a passion for all types of theatrical performances (plays, musicals etc.)
• Fantastic writing ability with an engaging style
• Have a good eye for detail, so they can make notes about the theatre and its seating arrangements
• Have a solid understanding of what makes a great show. An additional understanding of what will appeal to a wide audience is also big advantage

The successful candidate will be able to review up to 4 shows per month, from some of the best seats available in top London theatres. They will be paid £50 per review.

About us

Founded in 2011, SeatPlan was established to help customers find the best seats for theatre and events across the UK. Theatregoers can use its interactive seating plans to browse thousands of reviews and photos of the view from different seats, all provided by real people.

SeatPlan also sells tickets to theatregoers, using multiple ticket suppliers to provide customers with the best prices and availability. Users have uploaded 75,000 seat view photos since its launch and the site now has 175,000 customers to its name.

Terms & Conditions

• Candidates must be London-based UK residents aged 18 or over
• The candidate can review up to 4 shows per month and will receive one ticket per performance
• The candidate will receive £50 per review
• The role is a fixed term contract that will last for 6 months
• SeatPlan reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the role before this point if it becomes necessary to do so
• The candidate will follow each theatre’s etiquette and COVID-19 guidelines while on the premises
• SeatPlan do not take responsibility for the condition and service of each theatre. If the candidate has a complaint during a visit, they should bring it to the attention of the theatre staff
• The successful candidate’s reviews and ratings of shows reviewed via this role can be used by SeatPlan, both on SeatPlan.com, other websites and in other communications and marketing material
• SeatPlan will not share applicant contact information and details with third parties
• We will cease acceptance of applications by 11/02/2022, after which a selection of applicants will be chosen to progress to the next stage of the interview process. Further information will be communicated to all applicants who pass the initial application process
• Failure to follow any of the above terms and conditions will result in the role being cancelled
