Getting into the Venue

Bristol Hippodrome is situated on St Augustine’s Parade, with one step up to the main entrance or a ramp to the Piano Bar entrance. There is step-free, level access to the Box Office. Doors are attended at all times for those who need assistance. An alternative Access Entrance is located on Denmark Street, which gives level access to the Stalls, with a drop-off point directly outside.

There are steps to all sections of the theatre, unless using the alternative Access Entrance, which is suitable for wheelchair users and access patrons. There are 11 steps to the foyer from the main entrance.

Customer Assistance

Access patrons with limited mobility and wheelchair users are strongly advised to book seats in the Stalls. Those who wish to transfer into fixed seating are advised to bring a companion and notify the theatre when booking. Wheelchair users can book individual positions in Row M of the Stalls, which provide a space for the wheelchair and a fixed seat for the companion.

Accessible toilets are at the back of the Piano Bar and by the Access Entrance on Denmark Street.

The Piano Bar is step-free and wheelchair accessible. An at-seat service is available for access patrons, who will be attended to by the dedicated Access attendant. Staff are on hand to assist with navigation throughout the theatre.

How to Book

For those who require assistance or wish to book wheelchair or transfer spaces, it is important to book in advance to guarantee availability and notify the theatre of any special requirements. Discounted tickets are available for access patrons and a companion who are limited to the Stalls, with price depending on the show booking.
