Getting into the Venue

The Princess Theatre, Torquay is situated on Torbay Road, with 6 steps up to the main foyer from street level. Handrails are in place. Alternatively, a ramp is situated to the far right of the entrance, giving level access to the rear of the Stalls. A drop-off point is located outside the theatre, with access parking spaces located close by.

All sections of the theatre can be accessed by highlighted steps, with handrails, or by a customer lift. There is level access to 5 wheelchair spaces in the Stalls.

Customer Assistance

Access patrons are advised to book spaces in the Stalls. Those who wish to transfer should bring a companion and notify the theatre when booking. Staff are on hand to assist with navigation and the use of the customer lift. Those who wish to use the accessible entrance may notify staff for assistance.

There is no cloakroom in this venue, therefore wheelchairs must remain with the patrons. An at-seat service is available on request for those unable to access the bars.

For those who require assistance or wish to book wheelchair spaces or transfers in the Stalls, it is important to book in advance to guarantee availability and notify the theatre of any special requirements. Discounted tickets are available for access patrons and one companion, with the price depending on the show booking.

Section accessibility

Stalls

The Stalls are level access from the main foyer, which is 6 steps up from street level. Alternatively, the Stalls can reached via a slight ramp to the right of the main doors. This entrance leads to the rear of the seating and slopes down towards the front row. There are 5 wheelchair spaces in the Stalls.

Extra legroom can be found in Row A, seats V36 and V42 and all aisle seats.

Circle

The Circle can be accessed via 22 steps up from the main foyer to the Circle Bar, and a further 11 steps up to a centre gangway in the Circle. From here, there are 6 steps down to the front row and 5 steps up to the back row of the Circle. All steps are highlighted and have handrails. Alternatively there is a customer lift which can take patrons up to the seating and bar.
