Located in the heart of Brighton’s vibrant town centre, only a stone’s throw away from the rail station, the Theatre Royal is the city’s culture hub. Close by is the North Laines, a shopping district with independent, alternative retailers, cafes and antique shops. The theatre is also located next to Brighton Pavilion, with Brighton Beach about 10 minutes away and the pier and Sea Life Centre about 15-20 minutes away. Brighton Museum and Art Gallery are across the road from the Theatre Royal Brighton, as are the Pavilion Gardens. There are many places to eat nearby, including chain and independent establishments for pre and post-theatre dining.
Brighton Station is approximately 10 minutes from the theatre. After exiting the station, walk downhill on Queens Road toward the sea, and take the fourth left onto North Street. Walk down North Road, with the clock tower on the right, and take the fifth left onto the pedestrianised New Road. The theatre is partway up the road on the left.
Numerous bus routes travel along North Street, just a few minutes from the theatre. Routes include: 1, 1A, 2, 5, 5A, 5B, 24, 25, 25X, 26, 38, 46, 49, 55, 60, 71, 71A, 73, 769, N1 and N5.
The nearest car park to the Theatre Royal Brighton is the NCP on Church Street. If you enter the car park after 5pm and leave before 3am, the total cost is £6.50.
