About the show

After a sold-out UK tour, comedian Frank Skinner brings his acclaimed new show to the West End in 2020. Described by critics as “delightfully meandering” (The Guardian), Showbiz is the follow-up to 2014 hit Man in a Suit, and a long-awaited return to the stage for his loyal fanbase.

Who is Frank Skinner?

From football anthem Three Lions to hosting duties on BBC’s Room 101, Frank Skinner has become an instantly recognisable mainstay of British comedy.

He first burst onto the scene in 1991, when he won the prestigious Perrier Award at Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and his turn-of-the-century effort The Frank Skinner Show (1995-2005) is widely considered to have set the stage for the modern chat show format.

Where is it showing?

Showbiz will run at the Garrick Theatre.

When does it open?

The show opens for five weeks from 13 January 2020.

What is it about?

Showbiz is Skinner’s follow-up to 2014’s Man in a Suit, which played to packed houses and enjoyed critical acclaim across the board.

Now older and – perhaps – wiser, Skinner combines his much-loved laddish, sardonic persona with newly wry and outrageous observations about getting older and getting on.

The show was well-received on a UK tour, and played a sold-out month at Leicester Square Theatre in June 2019.

How long is it?

The show will run at 2 hours 10 minutes, with an interval.

Funny show, even the warm-up was good though an interval after such a short time was a bit daft.
