Map to Piccadilly Theatre

16 Denman Street, London, W1D 7DY

Location

Tucked behind Piccadilly Circus, the Piccadilly Theatre is located just off the famous, theatre-filled Shaftesbury Avenue. Situated in the centre of the West End and Theatreland, there are plenty of tourist attractions and pre-theatre amenities nearby. Green Park and St James’s Park, the shopping of Regent and Oxford Streets, and the old arcades of Piccadilly show off London at its best. The restaurants and bars of Soho and Chinatown are also within easy reach. Make sure to check www.tfl.gov.uk in case there are disruptions to your journey.

Rail

Charing Cross Station is the closest rail station to the theatre, approximately 15-20 minutes away. On exiting the station, turn left toward Trafalgar Square and continue toward the National Gallery. As the road curves, follow Pall Mall onto Haymarket. Walk to the end of Haymarket and once at Piccadilly Circus, cross the road and carry on to Great Windmill Street.

At Shaftesbury Avenue, Great Windmill Street turns into Denman Street. Follow it around to the left and the Piccadilly Theatre will be on the right.

Tube

Piccadilly Circus tube station is a few minutes from the theatre, served by the Bakerloo and Piccadilly lines. Take Exit 1 from underground and walk toward Glasshouse Street, which is not accessible to vehicles. Turn right onto Glasshouse Street, then right onto Sherwood Street. When this meets Denman Street, cross the road and turn left. This is Sherwood Street, and the theatre will be ahead of you on the right side.

Leicester Square is the next closest station, which is served by the Northern and Piccadilly lines.

Bus

Bus routes 14, 19 and 38 stop along Shaftesbury Avenue, a few minutes from the theatre. Also in the Piccadilly Circus area, you can access bus routes: 6, 12, 23, 88, 94, 139, 159 and 453, which stop at various points on Regent Street and Piccadilly.

Car

The Piccadilly Theatre is part of Q-Park’s Theatreland discounted parking scheme. This gives theatre patrons 50% off parking costs at the nearest Q-Park car parks, Soho and Trafalgar. Regular prices are £22 for up to 3 hours, and £29.50 for 4 hours.

The London Congestion Charge Zone covers the West End and Theatreland, so reaching the Piccadilly Theatre by car incurs a cost of £11.50 between 7am and 6pm. Drop-offs are permitted on Sherwood Street and Denman Street.
