Criterion Theatre

Jane Austen’s much-adapted romance gets a modern makeover for fans of SIX and & Juliet.

An Austen adaptation like no other

It’s a truth universally acknowledged that a Jane Austen novel must be adapted - and this time, 30 years of pop hits and an irreverent all-female cast bring a bold new Pride and Prejudice to the Criterion Theatre!

Pairing Austen’s witty remarks with hilarious karaoke tunes, Pride and Prejudice* (*sort of) sees a group of servants chuck away the chamber pots and play every part in the ultimate romantic comedy.

Featuring an irresistible soundtrack including Carly Simon and Candi Staton, and giving the audience knowing nods to their favourite Mr. Darcy moments, this team of overlooked and undervalued girls are out to make a match in the West End.

Pride and Prejudice* (*sort of) burst onto the scene at Edinburgh Lyceum Theatre in 2020 before setting out on tour across the UK. Created by Isobel McArthur, who also stars, the show features six actresses playing every part, from the hapless Mr. Collins to the meddling Mrs. Bennett.

Full of wit, music and massive heart, Pride and Prejudice sort of tickets promise an unforgettable night out - so dress up in your gowns and waistcoats, and get the karaoke going for this riotous new show.

The actors were absolutely hilarious and it was such a well thought comedy musical. The small cast played an array of characters and it was just so good. I went in not knowing much about it and left feeling pleasantly surprised. 10/10
