Richard III Tickets Available Now!

How far would one man go to sit on a throne, and who would he betray to get there? You are invited to witness Richard III’s relentless pursuit of power at the Globe Theatre this summer as he plots, murders and deceives his way to the top. One of Shakespeare’s most bloody and sinister plays explores the unnerving and charismatic face of evil, starring Artistic Director Michelle Terry as the ruthless Duke of Gloucester.

About Richard III

A man who became a myth and then a monster is taking centre stage at the Globe, and he may be more modern than you realise… When Richard sees an opportunity to clear the path to the throne, he sets in motion a series of shocking events that threaten the lives of everyone around him - especially his own family.

Bare-faced ambition and shocking confessions of crime are paraded in front of a crowd in this chilling portrait of a power that corrupts absolutely. But can anyone break through the charm and deception before it is too late?

Richard III is one of Shakespeare’s most unsettling depictions of a malicious, Machiavellian figure who claws his way into power with horrifying consequences and remains as gripping now as it was when it first premiered hundreds of years ago.

I really liked it, dramatic but with dark humour in the right places, great cast. King R came across as manipulative and deceitful but very entertaining at the same time. Lots of thrusting!!

Richard III - unfortunately, Globe productions are not sitting well with me, and this production was a letdown. The cast of women and by people was an interesting take, given that women go unheard when challenging Richard, but it didn’t go beyond tha Read more
