It’s Christmas, but in the West End of Victorian London, actors are unexpectedly dying mid-show. Enter, stage right, Sherlock Holmes, the world’s greatest detective, and his partner Dr Watson. Despite Scotland Yard dismissing the case, when Holmes uncovers a clue connecting the deaths with the “Twelve Days of Christmas”, he suspects foul play - and not just because of the three French hens, or partridges in pear trees. Sherlock Holmes and the 12 Days of Christmas is created by Humphrey Ker and David Reed, based on the character by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Ker and Reed are part of award-winning sketch group The Penny Dreadfuls, whose credits include Victorian-themed sketch show Aeneas Faversham, comedy show The Never Man, and radio sketch shows The Penny Dreadfuls Presents… and The Brothers Faversham.
The show also features original songs by theatre legends Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber (Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar).
