This tearjerker musical tells the story of Kōsei Arima, a young pianist and musical prodigy who is struggling to cope after his mother’s death. The ease with which he used to play the keys no longer comes to him, but when he strikes up a friendship with violinist Kaori Miyazono, there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel. Kaori slowly encourages him to perform again, and a delicate relationship blossoms between them.Based on the manga by Naoshi Arakawa, which has sold more than 7.5 million copies worldwide, Your Lie in April is an inspiring tale of healing in the face of adversity, and the redemptive power of music.

Rinne B Groff adapts the book into English, from the original book by Riko Sakaguchi.
