Getting into the Venue

Milton Keynes Theatre is situated on Marlborough Gate, with step-free access through automatic doors to the box office in the main foyer, which has low level counters. A drop-off point is located directly outside of the venue.

All sections of the theatre are accessible via customer lifts, ramps and steps. There is level access from the main foyer to wheelchair spaces located in the Stalls of the auditorium.

Customer Assistance

Patrons with limited mobility and wheelchair users are advised to book seats in the Stalls. Those who wish to transfer are advised to bring a companion and notify the theatre when booking. Staff are on hand to assist with navigation and the use of customer lifts.

A cloakroom is available to store large items. The Garden Room and Foyer Bar on the ground floor, and both Circle Bars all have low level counters and accessible levels for purchasing refreshments. An at-seat service can be requested for those who are unable to access the bars, or for those who wish to remain in their seats at the interval.

There are separate accessible male and female toilet facilities on the ground and first floors, and accessible toilets for both men and women on the third floor, by Door 10.

How to Book

For those who require assistance or wish to book wheelchair or transfer spaces in the Stalls, it is important to book in advance to guarantee availability and notify the theatre of any special requirements. Discounted tickets are available for access patrons and one companion, with the price depending on the show booking.

Section Accessibility

Stalls

The Stalls are level access from the main foyer, with step-free access to 6 wheelchair spaces in Row E. Those who wish to transfer into aisle seats should notify staff. Routes are clearly signposted and staff are on hand to assist with navigation. Customer lifts are available to reach other levels of the theatre.

Extra legroom is available in Row HH and in seats at the ends of each row.

Circle

The Circle can be accessed via 15+ steps up from the main foyer or by a customer lift. Handrails are in place and steps are clearly highlighted. Row A and the Circle Boxes are level access and step-free. The Circle Boxes are suitable for wheelchair access.

Legroom is good throughout this section.

Upper Circle

The Upper Circle and Slips are accessible via 15+ steps up from the main foyer, or via customer lift. All steps have handrails in place and are clearly highlighted. Alternatively, the slips can be accessed via a customer lift. The Slips are not suitable for those with limited mobility.

There are four spaces in the Upper Circle which are also suitable for transferring from wheelchairs.

Legroom may be slightly more limited in the Upper Circle and is restricted in the Slips.
