Getting into the Venue
The Regent Theatre is situated at Piccadilly, in the heart of Stoke-on-Trent. There are 9 steps to access the main foyer from street level, with a drop-off point located outside of the theatre. Alternatively, there is level access to the main foyer via a small lift suitable for wheelchair users. Access is via a platform lift which can accommodate wheelchair dimensions of 82cm x 140cm and a total weight of 400kg.All sections of the theatre can be accessed via customer lift, which features an audible announcer. There are 6 wheelchair spaces located in Row U of the Stalls, accessible via lift, whilst 14 wheelchair spaces are available level access from the foyer in Row E. There are 4 wheelchair spaces in Row B of the Circle, accessible via lift. The theatre's interior lift can accommodate wheelchair dimensions of 78cm x 140cm and a total weight of 630kg.
Customer Assistance
Access patrons and wheelchair users have the option to book seats in the Stalls and Circle, whilst those who wish to transfer into fixed seating are recommended to book seats in the Stalls. Access patrons are advised to bring a companion and notify the theatre when booking. Wheelchair users can book spaces in Row E and U of the Stalls and Row B of the Circle. There are 26 spaces available in total, all with room for a companion.An at-seat service is available for patrons who are unable to access the bars. Staff are on hand to assist with navigation throughout the theatre and the use of customer lifts.
Accessible toilets are located in the Foyer, Stalls Bar and Circle Bar.
How to Book
For those who require assistance or wish to book wheelchair or transfer spaces in the Stalls and Circle, it is important to book in advance to guarantee availability and notify the theatre of any special requirements. Section Accessibility
Stalls
The Stalls are level access from the main foyer, which gives access to a gentle slope to wheelchair spaces in Row E. A lift is also available to reach wheelchair spaces located in Row U at the rear of the section. Those who wish to transfer can do so into fixed aisle seats. Companions can be seated next to access patrons at all times.
There are some "perch" seats in the Stalls, which are 70cm high with no arm rests. These seats are Row V 1-8 and Row V 9-16.
Staff are on hand to assist with navigation and the use of customer lifts. Extra legroom can be found in Row E and in aisle seats.
Circle
The Circle can be accessed via steps or are level access via a customer lift, giving easy access to wheelchair spaces in Row B. A companion can be seated next to access patrons. Please note that there are steps to reach each row once inside the section.
There are some "perch" seats in the Circle, which are 70cm high without arm rests. These are located in Row H 1-7, Row H 25-31 and there are 3 either side in the theatre's Box positions at AA 1-3 and AA 4-6.
Extra legroom is available in Row H. Legroom may otherwise be limited in this section.
