Alexandra Theatre Capacity

The Alexandra Theatre Birmingham has a capacity of 1390 seats. Section capacities are 608 Stalls, 368 Dress Circle and 414 Grand Upper Circle. Use our interactive seating plan to view 685 seat reviews and 639 photos of views from seat.

With very comfortable seating, the theatre is built across three levels of varying size; the Stalls, Dress Circle and Grand Upper Circle. The Stalls is the largest section, offering the best views in the house, whilst the Dress Circle is a good option for large-scale musicals. The rows in each section do not curve around the stage, ensuring good sight-lines throughout the auditorium, even toward the ends of each row.

Good value seats

Seats are good throughout the Alexandra Theatre, with bargains to be found at the rear of the Dress Circle, where views are good and not affected by an overhang. Sit in Row C onward of the Grand Upper Circle for clear, but slightly distant, views. Seats towards ends of rows are also a good option for a bargain, as the lack of curve ensures good sight-lines.

Premium seats

There are good views on offer throughout the theatre, with the best seats available in the Stalls and centre of the Dress Circle. Legroom is also good throughout, therefore it is best to sit centrally in the Stalls for maximum comfort. Sitting in the front rows of the Dress Circle is also a good option for large-scale musicals.
