What is the musical A Mirrored Monet about?
Paris,1916, Claude Monet confronts mounting pressure to complete his government commission for The Water Lilies - an artistic endeavour tied to his survival in wartime France. Plagued by self‑doubt and flashbacks, he journeys back into his memories, reliving formative moments with contemporaries like Renoir and Manet, and his muse and first wife, Camille Doncieux.
Inspired by Monet’s own letters and diaries as well as those of his artistic circle, the musical immerses audiences in a world of impressionist Paris from Giverny’s gardens to the cafés and studios of Belle Époque Paris, in a sensory exploration of art, love, memory and resilience.
