A Strange Loop Tickets

Barbican Theatre

Michael R. Jackson’s Tony Award-winning musical transfers to London for 12 weeks. Catch this audacious show in its only UK season!

The groundbreaking musical bursts into London

It won every Best Musical award going in New York and broke new ground on Broadway with its story of a young, black, queer artist: now Michael R. Jackson’s exhilarating A Strange Loop bursts onto the Barbican Theatre stage for a strictly limited season.

Take a wild and audacious trip through the mind of an artist. Usher is a young, Black, gay writer who is writing a musical about a young, Black, gay writer, who is writing a musical… As this loop of metafiction spirals out onto the stage, Usher contends with his own self-perception in an internal monologue brought to life by a hilarious, straight-talking ensemble.

This Pulitzer Prize-winning musical from Michael R. Jackson was a sensation on Broadway, winning Jackson - who wrote the book, music and lyrics for the show - the 2022 Tony Award for Best Musical. A Strange Loop at the Barbican Theatre is directed by Stephen Brackett, who transfers with the show from New York, and choreographed by Raja Feather Kelly.

Don’t miss your chance to enjoy this blisteringly funny, brand-new Great American Musical with A Strange Loop tickets this summer.
