A View From The Bridge Tickets: A Gripping American Classic

BAFTA award winner Dominic West (The Affair; The Wire) takes on the towering role of Eddie Carbone in a revival of Arthur Miller’s devastating masterpiece about illicit desire and sexual jealousy, A View From The Bridge. This star-studded show sold out in an hour at Theatre Royal Bath earlier this year, so don’t wait to book tickets for its strictly limited season at Theatre Royal Haymarket!

About A View From The Bridge

Brooklyn longshoreman Eddie Carbone is a decent man. He has brought up his niece Catherine as if she were his own daughter, and is fiercely protective of the young woman. But when she falls for the overtures of charismatic Rodolpho - his wife’s Italian cousin who has been welcomed into their home - a fit of disturbing sexual jealousy and possessiveness explodes from Eddie. Soon, New York’s close-knit community of Italian-Americans is shocked to its core by the tragedy that unfolds.

A View From The Bridge is one of American playwright Arthur Miller’s (The Crucible; Death of a Salesman) most famous works. With its powerful and discomfiting story of relationships in the extreme, this timeless masterpiece showcases Miller’s talent for confronting taboo topics that linger long after you have left the theatre.

West is joined by Olivier and Tony Award nominee Kate Fleetwood (London Road), BAFTA Cymru winner Callum Scot Howells (It’s A Sin and Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club), Nia Towle and Martin Marquez.

It can't help but feel old-fashioned following on from the Young Vic's award winning non-naturalistic production from not too long ago - but the play is a classic for good reason, and this cast is excellent, with a great leading turn from Dominic Wes Read more

Excellent, played by very accomplished actors completely without embellishments just as written. The audience gasped at one point.

Not as exciting as the last revival with Mark Strong, but all the performances were excellent and it remains a powerful and challenging piece. Be prepared to strain your ears against some very strong New York Italian accents!
