Emma Corrin makes West End debut
Fresh from her star-making turn in Netflix's The Crown as Princess Diana, Emma Corrin will make her West End debut in the transfer of Joseph Charlton's award-winning play Anna X.Based on the life of Anna Delvey, the scandalous New York socialite identity of the Russian born Anna Sorokin, the play is a searing exploration of identity, morality and narcissism. After she moved to New York in 2013, Sorokin adopted the identity of Anna Delvey, a wealthy German heiress, and was able to seamlessly ingratiate herself in some of New York's most affluent and influential social circles.
In 2019, she was convicted on multiple counts of grand larceny, theft and fraud from several New York hotels and wealthy connections. Anna X explores the price we're prepared to pay for social status.
Emma Corrin, who won a Golden Globe for her performance in The Crown, will be joined by Nabhaan Rizwan. Anna X is directed by Daniel Raggett and forms part of Sonia Friedman and Ian Rickson's RE:EMERGE season at the Harold Pinter Theatre.
