About the Cadogan Hall

Cadogan Hall is a stunning concert venue, located in the heart of Sloane Square. The building is a former Christian Science Church, originally built in 1907, designed in a Byzantine Revival style by architect Robert Fellowes Chisholm. The Grade II listed building was acquired in 2000 by Cadogan Estates Ltd, a property company owned by Earl Edward Charles Cadogan, whose ancestors have remained the main landowners in Chelsea since the 18th century. The hall was refurbished by Partner’s Architects and Paul Davis in 2004, to include new tech systems and a bespoke acoustic ceiling, tailor-made for musical performances.

Cadogan Hall is home to the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the venue’s resident music ensemble. The venue has acted as a recording venue for productions including Sir John Eliot Gardiner and the English Baroque Soloists' recording of Mozart symphonies, and was also used by the BBC for the Proms Chamber Music concerts between 2005 and 2021. While classical music is a big part of the Hall’s history, it has also been the location for acts including rock band Marillion, who recorded their Live From Cadogan Hall concert at the venue, and frequently stages events by contemporary musicians and tribute acts, as well as talks and dance shows.
